The Next Step offers a number of Programs and Services, servicing over 4,600 members of our limb-loss community in Israel.
These services are a direct result of wonderful people like yourself, who've contributed to this wonderful cause!
Limb-Loss Education
At The Next Step, we offer a variety of programs and services to support amputees and their families. Our education programs include a website and limb-loss resource guide, bi-monthly publications, and amputee conferences and expos.
We believe that knowledge is power, and we strive to provide comprehensive resources to help amputees achieve their goals.
Physical
Achievement
Physical activity plays a key role in achieving functional independence and personal goals. We offer physical achievement programs, such as running/walking clinics and amputee fitness plans.
We host a wide variety of sports teams for amputees to enjoy, including cycling, climbing, swimming, rowing, cross-fit, surfing, and rock climbing.
Prosthetic
Fittings
Our prosthetics programs are designed to provide clients with access to the latest technology and top-of-the-line products. We offer international fitting programs, which include travel and lodging in the U.S. and follow-up care in Israel.
Home fitting assistance and parent/child support groups are generally provided in conjunction with these fittings. We also collect floor models from the U.S. and Europe to distribute and fabricate in Israel.
Support &
Respite
Our support programs are designed to provide emotional assistance and a sense of community for amputees and their families. We offer hospital visits before and after amputation, as well as limb-loss care packages.
Support groups and respite programs provide opportunities for amputees to connect with and learn from others who share similar experiences.
Awareness & Inclusivity
The Next Step is committed to increasing awareness about limb-loss and the needs of amputees.
Awareness programs include public appearances, advertising, and public relations. We believe that by educating the public, we can help reduce stigma and create a more supportive environment for amputees.
Advocacy &
Lobbying
The Next Step advocacy programs focus on lobbying for legislation and expediting approvals and care to ensure that amputees have access to the resources they need to thrive. By continuously advocating for amputees, we aim to create a more equitable and supportive society for everyone.
