The mission of The Next Step is to promote and contribute towards more effective cross-cultural ministry by partnering to influence the mission enterprise toward higher quality training. The Next Step will accomplish that through the following strategies:

• Develop best practices guidelines for missionary training
• Provide peer consultants to assist training colleagues
• Catalog training resources
• Promote dialogue and peer discussions through sponsorship of an annual conference and web site
• Develop a professional association of missionary trainers
